Do you need a "mum squad"?
Making new friends as an adult. š¬
Itās a weird concept isnāt it. Itās so much harder to open ourselves up to make friends as an adult.
When youāre a kid itās, āDo you want to play with me?ā. Job done.
Can you imagine saying that now? š
When I was pregnant, Iāll be honestā¦ I was DESPERATE to make pals with other pregnant folk. All Iād ever heard was that group of people would get you through those first few months.
Cut to me rocking up to the wrong venue for an antenatal class and nearly bursting into tears. This was my last chance to meet my tribe and Iād missed it!
No way, no how! I was not letting this F up ruin my final chance.
I sped across Glasgow and showed up 45 mins late, puffing with breathlessness and cringing inside.
But do you know what? Something magical happened that day.
I met 5 of my now best friends.
Weāre all so different but weāve got a bond like no other.
Weāve talked perineums, night feeds, mum guilt, frostbite on nipples (that was me š„¶), mother-in-laws and anything else you can imagine.
I couldnāt have, and still couldnāt, get through it without them.
I love to make it easy for my clients to make friends with other people at the same stage. Giving you lots of chance for connection and even setting you up with the mythical WhatsApp group of dreams when weāre done.
Iāll do everything in my power to make sure you donāt have to be that sweaty, cringing mess. š
For me now, itās building a community of other fantastic small business owners with the same values as me.
